Female Genital Mutilation I recently had the privilege of meeting Dr Comfort Momoh, MBE, who is FGM/Public Health Specialist at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital, London.


Comfort established the African Well Woman’s Clinic at the hospital 13 years ago. The clinic provides support, counselling, information and advice to women and girls who have undergone FGM, as well as a one-stop clinic for those requesting surgical reversal of FGM, also called ‘de-infibulation’.
